While building products do not "earn" points in and of themselves, they do have significant impact on cost/benefit results. Some materials and systems are very obvious solutions for achieving targeted strategies: permeable pavers for rainwater management and concrete masonry for energy optimization. Others may be completely unknown or overlooked as contributors or efficient enablers in supporting green goals for a given project condition: post tensioned masonry fences.
