Turfstone is an open grid paver often used for auxiliary parking and drive areas, and fire access lanes, while providing grassed areas. Grid pavers in a permeable pavement design are 70% - 100% pervious.

Compared to asphalt, grassed grid pavements will reduce surface air temperatures by 2° to 4° F (1° to 2° C) and radiometric temperatures by 4° to 6° F (2° to 4° C).
