Configurations
for CMU
CMU are either solid or hollow. Solid units are 75% or more in net area, and are used in composite masonry or as veneers. Hollow units are used in structural applications. The basic configurations shown are common to hollow blocks in various sizes.
Additional elements may be added to some units for design effects, including vertical scores, deep scores, flutes, and projections.
